Valentine's Day (I love Amy)

The first bit is actually from a walk with Amy and Donovan earlier in the week; we went to the Oakland Rose Garden. It was kinda cool, though no roses (very, very few) were in bloom. There were rows and rows of labeled roses, pruned back to a dozen inches from their roots. Supposedly that keeps them going and going, like the energizer bunny. Pretty good landscaping nonetheless and I expect it's rather amazing (scary?) when they're in bloom.

Valentine's was wonderful. Umm. Not much to say, though -- I got flowers and a bear for Amy, which she totally wasn't expecting (yay!). And she made this awesome meal, which I totally wasn't expecting (yum!). And we watched _American Beauty_ while eating and drinking, cuddled up on the couch.
