They thought it would be funny to go TP the crazy old man's house, the one with all the Christmas lights strewn haphazardly even though it hadn't been Christmas for four months. Truth be told, the lights didn't come down--he just added more every year.

They thought, why not add a little to the collage. They could take pictures, and maybe even take it down afterwards. They didn't count on just how haphazardly the lights were hooked up, raw wire here and there--so much wire they didn't notice the raw bits. They didn't count on the paper catching fire just about as they'd gotten the house coccooned, three hours of hard work.

They really didn't count on the old crazy man sleeping so heavily.
