He screamed as he backed away from the window. Shards of glass were scattered about the floor. The sun was bright. White light sheared through his eyes and through his heart, punctuating his dizziness and fear. Endorphins flooded his mind, almost succeeding in telling him this was a dream. This had to be a dream. She couldn't have just thrown herself out of the seven story window. She couldn't have.
