The moon, she is a spiteful and jealous lover. She blamed a human woman for the loss of he who she claimed as hers. Another story holds that he who she claimed had the wanderlust of his kind, and it was no fault of the woman's; but that story is told by women and as such suspect. For the curse, think no further than the blood women offer up every twenty-eight days, and consider the judgement, whither story you choose to believe.
